Who Are the Friends?

We are an all-volunteer, non-profit organization whose purpose is to support and enrich the cultural life of the community of Blackstone and to promote a program of assistance through volunteerism and fund-raising that will enable the library to keep pace with the growth of the town.
We organize fundraisers and run the semi-annual book drives that help support materials and adult and children's programs not covered in the library's budget.  We fund the very successful museum and zoo pass program and sponsor events and performers for the children's library.  Monthly Friends meetings are held at the library.  We encourage all interested community members to join us and become Friends of your local library as either silent or active members.

   NEXT MEETING:

We are sorry to announce the resignation of the Friends President Georgette Iannuzzi.  Fortunately, Georgette will remain an active Friends member.  We are pleased to announce the election approval of Paula Sullivan of Blackstone, MA as our new President.  Georgette, thank you for your years of leadership and guidance.  Paula, welcome and thank you for taking on this new role.
